DLA Piper Argentina is actively involved in product liability matters, particularly representing manufacturers, importers and distributors of products, including medical devices, pharmaceutical, chemicals, automobiles, industrial equipment and other consumer goods.
We represent clients in court proceedings and in claims filed before the authorities, such as the Consumers Rights´ Secretary.
An important aspect of our practice involves the prevention of products liability exposure. Additionally, of counsel Julio Kelly was retained by the National Executive Branch to amend laws on manufacturers’ liability and consumers’ protection and he also wrote a book on “Manufacturer’s Liability.”
Partner Guillermo Cabanellas and of counsel Julio Kelly co-wrote Law No. 22,262/Law No. 25,156: Antitrust, Antidumping and Consumer Rights legislation (Guillermo Cabanellas and Julio A. Kelly, 1985-1992).
